Joy Chatterjee is a pianist, composer, and music producer with a strong background in classical and contemporary music. He completed his Grade 8 in Classical Piano from ABRSM under the guidance of Geeta Uppal, John Raphael, and Soumitra Chatterjee. Over the years, he has developed a keen interest in orchestral scoring and background composition, creating immersive soundscapes for films, short films, and theatrical productions.
Joy has received several prestigious accolades, including the Anila Menon Scholarship, H.P. Palamkote Best Pianist Award, and multiple honors from the Delhi Music Society and the Korean Cultural Centre. His compositions have also been recognized at IFP Season 14, and his short film Cross My Heart was selected among the Top 100 Shorts at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Short Film Festival 2024.
With over five years of teaching experience, Joy has guided students through ABRSM, Trinity, and LCME grade exams, helping them refine both their technical skills and musical expression. As Co-Founder and Director of the academy, he plays a pivotal role in shaping its artistic vision, combining his expertise in performance, composition, and education to create a dynamic and inspiring learning environment.
